I renounce the spiritual forces of wickedness, reject the evil powers of the world and repent of my sins. I accept the freedom and power God gives me to resist evil, injustice, and oppression in whatever forms they present themselves.
I confess Jesus Christ as my Savior and put my whole trust in His grace, and promise to serve Him as my Lord, in union with the church which Christ has opened to people of all ages, nations, and races.
As a member of the body of Christ in this congregation of The United Methodist Church, I covenant faithfully to participate in the ministries of the church by my prayers, my presence, my gifts, and my service that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.
