About the Speaker - Kirsten Berger

After a career as a flight attendant and training instructor, Kirsten left the work force to start a family. It was then she discovered her true passion in life – mothering. With the birth of her first child, she began putting together some of her ideas, humor, and insights on mothering, cooking, marriage and organizing. After encouragement from friends and family members, the “Mommy Matters” workshops began.

Currently, Kirsten shares her time and talents outside her family serving her church, The Woodlands United Methodist, as a weekly Children’s and Student Ministries Volunteer and on the steering team of their new Family Life Ministries. She also serves her children’s schools in the classroom and on the PTA board.  Kirsten is a published writer with her work appearing in various periodicals and formerly in a weekly newspaper column.  She actively supports “The Center for Science in the Public Interest” (a nutrition advocacy group), and “The American Family Association”.  Kirsten serves as a board member for “Wonders of the Woodlands Science Camp” and for “Class Act Productions” (a non-profit performing arts organization for youth). Kirsten is the wife of her best friend, Geoff and the mother of their three children, Claire (15), Erin (13) and Grant (9). The Berger’s reside in The Woodlands, (a suburb of Houston) Texas and enjoy spending time on their ranch in south central Texas.
